The Mezcal Negroni

I love adding a smoky twist to this Italian aperitivo classic by substituting mezcal for gin. A delicious bitter cocktail with a silky texture that is a perfect cool down for a hot summer night and mezcal aficionados. See recipe below… xo

INGREDIENTS
1 ounce Del Maguey Vida Mezcal
1 ounce Campari
1 ounce Carpano Antica Formula sweet vermouth
Orange Peel

DIRECTIONS:

Add Campari, mezcal, and vermouth to mixing glass with ice and stir to combine. Strain mixture into chilled rocks glass with ice. Garnish with orange peel. To add the cocktail more intensity to the flavor, squeeze the orange peel and rub the zest around the glass’s rim.
